APART FROM presents: ASTRID SONNE at 316 centro (CANCELLED)

> April 3, 2020

We are deeply sorry to announce that due to events surrounding the fast spread of the COVID-19, Astrid has been forced to cancel her whole North American tour, including her show in Mexico.

At the moment, it is too early for us to know if we may be able to reschedule the show for sometime later in 2020.
These are difficult times and we urge you to stay healthy and do whatever you can to help one another.

APART FROM presents: XENIA XAMANEK at SALA DE ARTE PÚBLICO SIQUEIROS
> December 6th, 2019

We are excited to announce what will be our last show of the year. This time, presenting the Danish/Hondurian composer and sound artist Xenia Xamanek in collaboration with Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros.

Having studied the rules of composition and been formally trained on saxophone, Xenia Xamanek is an artist who is appealed to ignore all rules in order to approach her idiosyncratic style of music. She debuted in 2015 with her releases on Infinite Waves under her previous alias Equis. Since then she has toured Japan and has been involved in several collaborations and projects experimenting with site-specific sound art, audiovisuals performances and much more.

Xamanek is a true contemporary hardware explorer who pushes her sound material in unusual ways, navigating an adventurous field and creating a surreal soundscape of high standard.

APART FROM presents: MINAIS B at BUCARELI 69
> October 18th, 2019

We continue expanding the spectrum of contemporary culture by presenting cutting-edge electronic music from around the globe in Mexico City and this evening will be no exception when we take over Bucareli 69 with one of the most interesting artists coming from the Copenhagen underground scene.

Minais B is the moniker of Copenhagen-based composer Villads Klint also part of the trio KhalilH2OP (Posh Isolation) and co-founder of the platform Anyines. Navigating between hard-hitting beats and ethereal harmonies, the Copenhagen-based artist Minais B places the listener in flux of serenity and euphoria.

APART FROM presents BENDIK GISKE at Material Art Fair
> 7
th of February 2019

Bendik Giske (NO/DE) is a queer artist and saxophonist using physicality, vulnerability and endurance as his tools of expression. He seamlessly fuses freeform jazz and club music, taking the building blocks of electronic music and playing it live. The result is a mesmerising performance like nothing you have seen before.

His debut album, Surrender, is out on one of our favourite Norwegian record label Smalltown Supersound January 25th. Recorded in Oslo's Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum it takes the listener on a journey through the euphoria and wanderlust of Berlin nights spent clubbing.

Bendik Giske, who is coming straight from CTM festival to Mexico City, will perform at the opening of Material Art Fair February 7th.
